Not for me

I wanted to use it a while before I wrote a review. With reading other reviews and looking at the company, I was hoping to love it. It's okay. It feels like regular lotion and is not leaving my face moisturized. My face feels drier after using it for several days. No breakouts or reaction to it. It may work for others, but not for me.

Cruelty-free, Vegan, Hydrating, Effective

If you're looking for an OTC retinoid that's full of effective actives but that won't leave you dry, irritated, or greasy, I've found the holy grail. The double retinol cream has everything, and I'm amazed at what a powerhouse this is while also being incredibly gentle and nourishing. So many OTC retinol products don't live up to the hype and are ineffective because the actives are so far down the ingredient list; there isn't enough in the product to really do what it claims. Not so here! Not only are the actives high on the list, but it contains THREE skincare champions: retinol, retinal, and bakuchiol. Retinal and Retinol are retinoids, and bakuchiol is a plant-based alternative to retinol. They're right there at the top, so you know there's enough in there to do what it actually claims. If you're worried about irritation or protecting your skin barrier, the cream is chock full of goodies for that, too. It contains ingredients known as "the golden ratio" of skin lipids, cica repair complex ingredients, skin protection and microbiome support ingredients, and additional deeply hydrating ingredients. There's zero dryness, no irritation, and my skin is hydrated, soft, supple, and smooth. There's no need for an extra moisturizer on top of this, and I've found myself skipping everything else and using only this at night. The cream is light yellow, with no detectable scent. It's very elegant, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling and looking amazing. I wake up with a nice glow, and can't wait to see the long-term results. The tub contains a generous amount and should last a long time. The expiration date on my product is 11/2028. It is also cruelty-free and vegan! This has so many wonderful ingredients for anti-aging, barrier protection and repair, redness repair, calming angry skin, optimizing the skin's biome, and providing deep hydration. If you've struggled with irritation and dryness from retinol products, give this one a shot. It's now my favorite OTC retinoid. I'd had this recommended to me in the past but kept putting off trying it. I am so glad I grabbed it when I had the chance, and I highly recommend it !
